Woke up early today, and headed out to Deus ex for brekkie, and some Circuit Club discussion.
Pretty devastated to see the Chef was not in today, meaning cold food only! C'mon, who wants cold food for Breakfast? I'm all about the egg and bacon related shenanigans.
I have to say, amongst the 5 hours of car-talk, what fascinated me was Matt Mead and his obsession for Fixies. The 4,500 dollar Fixie-esque bike that was for sale at Deus really tickled my fancy, i must admit. Classique looking bike with subtle features that make for a clean, subtle look.
It was good to catch up with the usual culprits and discuss ideas. As much as we get carried away; I do love becoming enriched in conversation which is full of great content. For example, 1992 Bathurst conversations are just simply magic. Especially when everyone else knows what is up.
Also today, in fact I must make a blogpost about this, me and a friend stripped the wiring loom from my latest car. It took time, but we came out unscathed. Now all we have to do, is plumb the standard wiring loom in, make sure everything else plugs in, and hope she's happy with the brain transplant.
I don't feel like writing today too be honest, sorry for the shit blog post.
Godspeed

Your Halo's Slippin' Down..
Don't you just adore those albums; the ones where you become fixated on each track. The ones where this single-track obsession lasts around 2/3 weeks.
Then you move onto the next beautiful song, usually next track on the album, for one reason only. This is because you forgot to go press the backward arrow to take you back to the tune that you where oh, so fixated on.
I'm talking about the music that god would order Jesus to floss to. Maynard James Keenan related shenanigans. Elitist fucking rock-beats that eats your soul every time you listen to it, but feeds your musical ego to a point where it cannot be inflated much more.
"Thirtieth step" is one of those albums. Ever since a friend of mine introduced me to this album, I've been forever in his debt. But, the only reason I never dabbled in the Thirteenth step is because I was oh, so fixated on APC's other title, "eMOtive."
This album was brought into my life around 6 months ago. I'd probably be right in saying it was actually close to a year ago; but me and father time don't exactly get along. I always misjudge the concept incredibly.
To the point however, I decided to relax to some downward facing, backwards yet upwards Rock groove. I placed on the track, "The Outsider," and sat down in a melancholy bliss of satire lyrics, growling palm muted chorus riffs and just sheer excellence.
As I got into the perfect state of mind, I heard this song. This fucking track I've never heard, or at least acknowledged. This was probably because the highlight of this particular song comes 3 minutes into it (Not a new thing with tool), and lasts about 50 seconds.
But, as soon as those lyrics entered my life, i froze. It's like this album once again punched me in the face with its musical fist of brilliance. I've had that section on repeat for the past 2 hours and it still makes my ears prick once the first chord has been struck.
It's not even the concept and methodology behind the lyric, it's just the amount of unison-win it delivers, every single fucking time.
I really am happy when I find a track like this. That track you can obsess over, the track that makes you feel better.
The greatness I speak of starts at 3:30.
Moral of this post:
Don't let your halo slip.
Godspeed.

FUCK STIENS
Sorry for the belated responces, to those who actually read this.
I am very drunk; I have two assignments to do for tomorrow.
One is a presentation, the other is some rubbish about eclectic theories. I have no idea what the fuck I am going to do; I guess progress as I can.
I need a tick, tick being a pass, so I can progress my way through the hierarchy that is the educational system.
Please, to all that read this, give me wisdom to power through what I have to do in life.
I will update this soon

Been a while
I've spent the past 2 weeks out driving every night, if not driving, sleeping on my fiancee.
Sorry for that.
The past 2 weeks have literally flown. I can't remember the last time I was owl like; rising sub lunch time and prowling the streets 'til dawn.
At least I got some homework done which is a plus.
Me and the Mrs did a little tour of Sydney the other night, and it was a great night. We went through parramatta to leicthard, through balmain and surroundings to the city, over the bridge and throuhg Cremonre, Mosman and seaforth to Narrabeen where we sat at the beach. It was a great drive and she enjoy it, thus making me ecstatic!
Other than that, my car remains similar to as it was last time I wrote on here. I have a new set of wheels coming that should be arriving at my door Monday.
At present it sports a set of OEM Toyota GTI time attack hubcaps which have received more compliments than the previous rims! Who said you need fancy rims...I kiss the Simmons goodbye on Tuesday, something I admit, I'm silly for doing. Due to the closure of Simmons wheels Australia, the prices are only going to go up and up.... and up and up and up.
My exhaust also snapped in half, no idea how, why, when, where, who, but it just did. It has a proper sized whole near the rear half of the S bend (cat back section) and now it finally gave way. It sounds fucking awful, but it's an excuse to have the rest done I guess.
For those you don't know; the car runs a straight pipe with an offset exit out the rear bumper (No muffler!)
Here are some pictures for you all. I will make a dedicated post next, to images I failed to provide in previous posts.

I have a busy week this week, I have to get my ass back into the educational routine, polish and paint my new wheels, kiss my Mrs, get tyres fitted to wheels and so much more.
From here,
Godspeed!

Fucking weekend
G'day.
Today's post will not be the most informative piece; but it will get the job done.
I have just spend most of the day working on the corolla.
So, physically I am pretty buggered.
I am mentally drained too, having organised shit for university, organised shit for homework, you get the picture.
I get impatient, when I want or need something done; and cannot in any shape or form aid in pushing this task one step further to completion, i become obsessed. it somewhat embeds itself into my brain, and it is all I can think about.
Funny thing is, after a day or two, the task becomes defunct. Totally forget about it and I couldn't care how it'll take to achieve it.
I guess it depends on the task at hand, but most follow this process.
This weekend, was a great weekend. I caught up on Dexter.

Kath and I finished series three and watched the pre series 4 EP, must say it is a gripping show.
on the purchase list, is a logitech Z-5500 for my room. Surprised at the sound quality and overall package, now I just need to wall mount the unit.
Following second is a set of iridium plugs for the 'Rolla (Thanks Greg), Penrite HPR oil, free genuine oil filters and other fluids (Thanks Dad).
I'll upload some pictures eventually.
For now, here you go

It is to close, time to get a drink, go see the puppy, infact I will write a piece on him, wash my face, deplaque my teeth and discuss tomorrows dinner with kath.

Fucking CSS
Before I close off for today, I would first like to kick things off with
FUCK CSS
Now we can continue.
I have just finished my dummy website for the Nokia 888 phone. This task was set as a assignment in my visual media class. Somewhat of a pain it turned out to be; but I believe I came out victorious.
I used some snazzy CSS buttons, and a few divs, some grey backgrounds and voila! a nice, tidy website. I'm pretty sure I ticked all the boxes on the criteria page.
In other news, I slept in today. I was going to type "I missed out on first class" but according to some acquaintances at TAFE, i didn't miss out on anything really. I have this horrible problem in the mornings where I become to attached to my bed, and wish never to leave it. In fact, I've probably mentioned by bed more than anything in all of my blog posts, so that stands for something. Ask my fiancee if my words are not enough for you, she feels much the same way.
It has become that much of a problem, that she comes over usually every morning to wake me up in person. This maybe because I have an authority problem and I don't take shit from an alarm clock, telling me to wake up? honestly... I'll just shut you up and return. But back on topic, she is a godsend. But there are times, and I will not lie, where she has come over to wake me up, gotten into bed with me since it looks inviting, and fallen asleep also resulting in a combo of truancy. True stories.
I think it is the initial part of waking up that's the problem. Once I'm out of that bed, I'm fine. However I could probably lay here and sleep for 24 hours straight, with ease. Maybe I should invest in a less comfy bed to up my punctuality? Could be an idea.
I remember jotting down that I would post photos of the bedroom during it's renovation? I think I will get onto that tomorrow since I have a half day at my educational building of choice.
You're probably thinking, "yeah yeah, he said that before" but I WILL upload those photos tomorrow.
Bare with me.
I think that's all for tonight, time to close.

Fucking weekend, reno / beer / sleep / bed.
This weekend has had it's ups and downs, that's for sure.
Friday was a good day. We purchased half a kilo of Pineapples and milk bottles, coupled nicely with 4 dollars worth of flying saucers.
Now, if you don't know what I'm talking about, get out of my Internet blog stuff.
Another activity we engaged in was of the room renovating / cleaning guise. You should see the amount of fucking crap that landed in the study, i mean it was phenomenal. I will provide photos and all that crap later tomorrow, but for now, all you have is words.
I found a battery tie down for a AE92 Corolla, Mudflaps for a EF civic that do not even belong to me, Some JDM YO coffee packets, 5 mm wheel spacers, camber tops for a AE92, a few marshmallows and assorted lollies, and so forth.
After the room was gutted, i stole back my stolen double bed which is just fucking bliss to sleep on. Even though I was intoxicated sleeping on it during its first night home; I think even my fiancee agrees it's magic. I'm pretty sure she was drunk too, but that's not the point here.
I will carry on with ROOM RENO'S 101 tomorrow, when I have photos to make shit seem more real to you photo minded people.
Other than that, Saturday consisted of beer + late night Chinese food + other crap that made for an excellent evening.
Today, Sunday, was pretty full on with the room reno. Again, I will come to that in a later blog post.
Now, I will sit back and relax to some tool as I close for the day.

In before close..
Probably the greatest forum saying ever; spawning the name of my blog.
I said to myself, and my fiancee who I must say has a good memory, that I will write more considering it's what I like doing.
I also said that, if i ever, ever purchase a PC for my bedroom, that I will blog before I sleep.
Hence the term, in before close, or "inb4close".
Basically I will spill the beans on whats what, before I close off for the day.
(If you haven't already worked this out, yes I did buy a PC today)
I thought it fit well.
Well before I close off today, I would like to offically announce that my room is a utter tip.
There is shit everywhere, a shiny new guitar in the room (thanks Kath), a brand new PC on the floor (Thanks Honda).
it's pretty fucked.
I have been downgraded to my old single bed whilst my precious white-vinyl-pillow-top-equipped bed resides downstairs and provides endless comfort for my Auntie and Uncle who are visiting at the present.
All in all, it looks like a shit hole. That's being nice, too.
In other news, I have a new car, and a bunch of other cool shit. I will post pictures to give my serif's some ground.
For now, godspeed.
